Hilperton Area Action Group (HAAG)

Preserving the identity of Hilperton, Staverton, and the surrounding area

The Hilperton Area Action Group (HAAG) aims to protect the land, wildlife, and heritage of Hilperton, Staverton, and the surrounding area from unsustainable housing development.

The new Wiltshire Council proposal to build 2,600 houses on open countryside in Hilperton and Staverton is neither sustainable nor a viable plan. If approved, this mass housing development could lead to the destruction of wildlife, heavy traffic, high flooding risk, and increased pressure on local healthcare services.

But together, we can make our views known and protect our community, countryside, and wildlife.

Protecting the identity of the Hilperton area.

The development of 2,600 houses across our green field sites would not only endanger red-listed wildlife, but also double the population of the village. This would put unsustainable strain on local roads, resources and services, which are already stretched to the limit.
