Traffic chaos at Staverton

There was a major traffic hold up on 31 October 2022 on the main road through Staverton, at New Terrace off the end of Horse Road. A small truck was legally parked on the roadside with a sign in the front window making a very clear complaint about the poor state of the current road system in this area. Traffic movement was very restricted, causing long tailbacks in both directions extending well beyond Wickes & up to Holt Road. Police were present and directing traffic.

With local plans being considered for massive development in this area in the near future, this protest demonstrates a point locals have been making for a long time.
